Since NASCAR is in Las Vegas this weekend, here is a video from NASCAR weekend 2005 in Las Vegas.
Under the Fremont Street Experience, not too far from The Golden Gate Casino, there was a drive a remote controlled car on a miniature race track. Unlike Sigma Derby, there was no betting involved.
This original RoyVegas video is being presented for the first time, even though it is a flashback.
You can see parts of The Golden Gate Las Vegas, and as well The Plaza Las Vegas, in this video. That should help you place right where I filmed this little race track.
I did not see this track set up at Fremont Street for this weekends NASCAR event.
In 2005, there was a real large guy running a NASCAR attraction on Fremont Street, and as he barked to the crowd to try and get customers, he was shouting out NASCARRRR NASCAR! Only it sounded as if he was saying NATHCAR.
A lot of people had difficulty with this tiny race track. It was kind of like watching bumper car rookies get stuck against the center divider.
Perhaps this attraction did not fare too well, amidst the sexy women, gambling, and booze.
NASCAR. NASCAR.
