O'Sheas Casino Has Closed - Las Vegas
O'Sheas Casino has closed. Las Vegas, Nevada has lost what I guess is the last casino without rooms on the Las Vegas Strip.
At 12 noon on Monday 30 April 2012 crowds started walking out from O'Sheas Casino for the last time. A band played some Irish songs until about 10 minutes to 12. People played beer pong until the end. Machines were being played. Most table games were closed, but a few were being used. Green O'Sheas souvenir shot glasses on a chain were being handed out as souvenirs. The lucky midget was walking around signing glasses and posing fpr photos. He appeared sad at the closing. Farewell O'Sheas.

Dumpster Noise Disturbs Dude At Palace Station Las Vegas
Palace Station Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada. Funny video I found on YouTube of a guy having a wrong morning at Palace Station due to the booming noise of trash being thrown in the dumpster which was outside his window. Not so funny for the man who had his sleep disturbed.

Casino Royale Sidewalk Jam Las Vegas
I suppose that Casino Royale won't do anything as the jam creates a busy area and brings people right up to their place. Why would they want to expedite pedestrians past their location.
I can understand that point of view, but the rare time that I am walking past Casino Royale, I just want to get right past it because of the slow moving, sometimes not moving, pedestrian traffic.
There is not enough width on the sidewalk. People hawking stuff, handing out breath mint samples, all sorts of nonsense exacerbate the already jammed spot.
Casino Royale is unique with its pastel colors. At night lit up, it is very pretty. If they cut 10 feet into the place, it is entirely possible that the added flow and area might actually help the business of Casino Royale and not hurt it.
More trouble than it is worth, I suppose, but the pedestrian traffic jam there is unacceptable.

Las Vegas White Cross Drugs CLOSED
Las Vegas, Nevada.
White Cross Drugs closed at the end of March 2012.
Tiffany's Cafe, the lunch counter located inside White Cross Drugs is remaining open, by itself. Who knows how long that will last?
The bottom photo in this post shows some of Tiffany's Cafe's luncheon specials. They are very special, indeed.
Bowl of soup and either a grilled ham and cheese, or a tuna sandwich $6.95
For a buck more, $7.95 you can have a bowl of soup and a patty melt.
$8.95 gets you a bowl of soup and a hot pastrami sandwich.
Since no mention is made of a beverage, the beverage will cost extra.
The location of White Cross Drugs, and its white look, would make it an ideal White Castle, (hamburger chain), but at present there are no White Castles in Nevada.
